We exhibited at the Care Show this year, the first exhibition of this size for us. It was great to see so many of our existing customers and also so many new faces and we really enjoyed getting feedback on the bedroom scheme that we were showing.
We chose to exhibit the Estila B502 bedroom scheme as this has modern contemporary feel that appeals to lots of different styles and the vibrant green is very eye catching. It was also a great way to demonstrate what we can offer for delivery within 5 working days*.
We recently undertook the complete furnishing of the new 14 bed extension at Haughgate House along with 2 day rooms. This project features many of our stock products from both our Liberta Vie luxury bedroom packages and our Furncare range as the customer had a fairly tight time line they wanted to keep too but still wanted the rooms to be stylish and comforting for the residents.
This property incorporated parts of the older building so it was important to make a feature of some of the older windows and fireplaces as well as providing products that complimented the period of the property. The rooms are quite large at Haughgate House so purple and blue schemes were chosen to keep the rooms feeling light and airy. This was carried through into the bedroom curtains which were made up in some of our Liberta Vie bedroom range stock fabrics.
Having worked with this customer on two previous projects we were delighted to undertake the next phase of furniture and furnishings in their care village, this time at the stunning new build The Orangery.
As this property has an incredibly light filled and airy atmosphere owing to the masses of windows, doors and high ceilings, it was important that the furniture and furnishings reflected and complimented this. A neutral and soft blue colour palette was chosen to provide a sense of calm and relaxation as well as complimenting the previous schemes used in other areas of the care village.
In the communal areas we supplied a range of seating options, including our Collette chairs, Camille tub chair, Penza tub chair and Torino chairs, to provide a range of support and comfort levels for the residents. Waterproof, fire retardant and stain resistant upholstery was chosen to ensure the longevity and practicality of the products.
For the bedrooms we sourced bedroom furniture outside of our normal range with a soft grey painted finish and oak tops to compliment the woodwork within the home. Along with the Hartland electric bed, Radnor electric rise and recliner chair and complimenting bed runners and cushions, these bedrooms provide a tranquil sanctuary for the new residents.
Baby boomers are widely associated with privilege as many grew up in a time of widespread government subsidies in post-war housing and education, and increasing affluence. As a group, they were the wealthiest, most active, and most physically fit generation up to that time, and among the first to grow up genuinely expecting the world…
Most relationships between universities and businesses are based around collaborative research projects, and there are many ways for businesses to get involved with researchers, entrepreneurs and young talent. At Furncare, we believe in bringing more freedom, more enjoyment and more status to our care communities, not just for the residents but the carers and owner/managers…
For this project we collaborated with an interior designer to provide the furniture and furnishings for Phase 1 of this new build fit out. The entire project comprised 21 bedrooms in 4 different schemes, a hair salon, dining room, main lounge, quiet lounge, office, reception and corridor seating areas.
