Waterside House, set in a picturesque coastal location in Southampton, stands as a testament to collaboration and high-quality design. This project originated at the Care Show Birmingham 2023 when the client, a long-standing customer, expressed their vision for revitalising the communal areas of their facility. They entrusted HomeSmiths with the design, and Furncare was commissioned to supply and install all furnishings, ensuring a seamless blend of style, comfort, and practicality.

The journey from concept to completion was carefully managed to meet the client’s needs. Design discussions commenced at the beginning of 2023, followed by a detailed quotation in June. By August, direct communication with the client was established to finalise the order, leading to a smooth delivery in November. Throughout this process, the team at Furncare worked closely with HomeSmiths to ensure that the selected furniture not only complemented the aesthetic vision but also catered to the well-being of residents.

“Furncare’s furniture is of the highest quality, thoughtfully designed with care home residents in mind. The entire process was stress-free, with excellent communication and regular updates throughout.”

Shan Visram, Director, Wavemill Healthcare

For Furncare, this project was particularly significant as it marked the first full project specified by HomeSmiths.

“Being specified by HomeSmiths for the first time was a proud moment for us. Waterside House was a fantastic opportunity to showcase our ability to deliver high-quality, functional, and stylish furnishings that enhance care environments.”

Arnie Goodenough, Key Account Manager, Furncare

With the successful completion of this project, Waterside House now boasts thoughtfully curated communal spaces that balance aesthetic appeal with practical functionality – an achievement that reflects the power of strong partnerships in delivering outstanding results.
