Brainkind (formerly The Disabilities Trust) appointed Furncare to provide unique interiors for their flagship Neurological Centre. Shortlisted in the prestigious Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) Awards, the centre is now preparing to welcome its first residents.

Where it all began

Arnie Goodenough worked closely with Brainkind and  Jefferson Sheard Architects. Initially we provided samples for a Brainkind refurbishment site, and Furncare furniture samples were assessed by Brainkind and residents at their York House site. They received the thumbs up.

Unique interiors for flagship centre

Plans for an alternative flagship Neurological Centre a few miles away emerged shortly after. Furncare were invited to tender for the project on the former Terrys Chocolate Factory site. The project presented many challenges for Brainkind and Jefferson Sheard Architects, but we were still able to supply furniture for all 36 ensuite bedrooms, transitional living apartments and extensive dining and communal areas.

A Nurturing and Comfortable Environment

Deliveries were scheduled with Brainkind, and the renowned Furncare ‘White Glove’ team ensured almost 600 items of furniture to create the unique interiors for the flagship centre were delivered hassle-free and on time as arranged, fully assembled and placed in pre-allocated rooms.
